Big Tree, Malaysia’s leading Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising solutions provider and a subsidiary of Media Prima Berhad, shared heartfelt love and positivity from the Malaysian public along highways, city streets, train stations and shopping malls in Klang Valley through its “Apa Khabar?” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign that is in support of Mental Health Awareness.
The campaign saw strong support from the public as it received high participation and engagement concerning the “Apa Khabar?” contest that ran from 1 – 17 September 2023. Following the positive messages and photos broadcasted in major locations, the campaign also took the opportunity to remind Malaysians to check in on their loved ones with a simple everyday greeting, “Apa Khabar?”.
“They say good things must be shared. That is certainly the case here because all of the positive and uplifting messages being circulated on our DOOH screens, I believe, really resonate well with the general public. I would like to sincerely thank those who participated in the “Apa Khabar?” contest.
We hope our campaign was able to urge more people to share positivity and keep tabs on the people around them, further fostering a loving and supportive community that understands the importance of caring for mental health.
“I am also happy to see that our campaign has opened up new opportunities for a mass medium such as OOH advertising to embrace a more personal approach when conversing with the mass audience,” said Big Tree Chief Operating Officer, Stephanie Wong.
This CSR contest, also known as the #ApaKhabarBigTree campaign, aims to spread positive awareness and advocate against the social stigma of having mental health issues in conjunction with World Mental Health Day which falls on the 10th of October. 12 winners were selected to share their uplifting thoughts and photos on Big Tree’s DOOH screens across major highways & roads in Klang Valley, including transit
