Viu Unveils 9 New Dramas for 2024 at Raya event in Kota Bharu

Viu Malaysia, the leading pan-regional OTT video streaming service is making headlines with its latest announcements and successes. One of its standout achievements is the groundbreaking campaign for “Terlanjur Cinta,” which marked Viu’s first foray into digital out-of-home and radio advertising in the East Coast.

This campaign captured significant attention, evident in the high interest reflected on Google Trends in Kelantan and Terengganu. Moreover, it garnered an impressive 21 million views across social media platforms. The campaign’s impact extended further with over 20,000 giveaways distributed across 20 bazaars and 6 malls, drawing a remarkable footfall of over 212,000.

Viu Malaysia recently hosted the Viu Together Gather open house at Kota Bharu, bringing together 100 prominent entrepreneurs from Kelantan with the presence of 23 popular Malaysian celebrities. This event was co-organized by Viu Malaysia and the agency Rich Colors Advertising Sdn Bhd.

This initiative underscores Viu Malaysia’s commitment to introducing its brand and diverse content offerings to the East Coast market. In an era dominated by digital advertising, the event provided a platform for local entrepreneurs to explore Viu’s innovative solutions for brand amplification and business growth.

The guest list included leading entrepreneurs in the East Coast, such as Venus Rose, Elegant Cosmetics, Ufora, BCF by Chefiza, Afini Beauty, Dalya Beauty, Demica, Maaez, Annems Leadership Solutions.

This event was graced by a stellar lineup of local celebrities who have appeared in Viu dramas, showcasing the potential for deeper and more integrated advertising solutions that leverage strong content and the influence of talented celebrities. Among them are the main actor of Viu drama series Hun Haqeem, Daiyan Trisha and Shahkimin (W: Two Worlds), Syafiq Kyle, Datin Seri Paduka Umie Aida, Syafi Tee and the producer Erma Fatima (Terlanjur Cinta), Ikmal Amry, Sophia Albarakbah and Fimie Don (From Saga With Love 2), Azira Shafinaz and Aqasha (Nafsu), Nadiya Nisaa dan Sara Mack Lubis (The Secret), Mira Filzah and Tracie Sinidol (Gadis Masa). Alya Iman (Anggun Mikayla), Nabila Razali (Bawah Payung Awan), as well as Hannah Delisha and Redza Rosli (Dihatiku Ada Kamu).

The night was emceed by multi-talented host, Ifa Raziah and showcased performance from the group DeFam of performing their internationally viral song “Alamak Raya Lagi” and Nabila Razali performing “Raya Mana?”
