Pos Malaysia’s Transformational Excellence Recognised with Forward Faster CEO Award 2024 & Multiple Industry Accolades

Pos Malaysia Berhad (“Pos Malaysia” or “The Company”), the national post and parcel service provider, has achieved a significant milestone in its transformative journey as Group CEO Charles Brewer received the prestigious Forward Faster CEO Award 2024 in the Large Company Category from UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB) at the Forward Faster Sustainability Awards 2024 recently.

The Forward Faster CEO Award recognises exceptional leadership by chief executives who have demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability by integrating sustainable practices and ethical principles into their company’s strategy, operations, and culture.

“This recognition is not just a celebration of leadership—it embodies a culture driven by purpose,” shares Charles Brewer, Group CEO of Pos Malaysia. “Understanding ‘why’ we do what we do has been fundamental to our success. A truly significant transformation encompasses many different pathways, but sustainability stands at the heart of everything. With 15,000 employees and 10,000 vehicles, our potential impact on the planet is substantial.

Our people expect Pos Malaysia to deliver not just financial results, but meaningful change for the planet. This clarity of purpose has enabled us to weave sustainability into the very fabric of our business strategy, recognising that each small step forward creates lasting impact.”

Under Brewer’s leadership, Pos Malaysia has achieved remarkable milestones in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. This commitment is evidenced by the deployment of 220 e-bikes and 143 e-vans, delivering 2.8 million clean and green last-mile kilometres, installation of solar PV panels on 16 buildings, and recycling of 54,605 kg of materials—all contributing to the company’s pledge to reduce carbon footprint by 70% by 2050.

The transformation strategy has yielded impressive results: next-day delivery performance for parcels has improved to over 90% (from 50% in 2021), alongside 93% on-time mail delivery, and an industry-leading customer satisfaction rate of 91% against the industry average of 82%, according to MCMC parcel surveys.

Pos Malaysia’s comprehensive evolution encompasses innovative platforms including Pos Shop‘s 50 modern convenience outlets, Pos Fulfill’s strategic expansion to 172,000 square feet of warehouse space serving 19 customers, and redlyexpress’s technology-first approach to crossborder commerce. This transformational excellence has been further validated by multiple prestigious accolades awarded to Pos Malaysia in Quarter 4 (October – December 2024):
