(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – A brand activation agency established in the local market for over 16 years, ePromode, has been recently acquired by Always Marketing Services, an agency under the J. Walter Thompson(JWT) network.

One of Malaysia’s largest brand activation agency, ePromode specializes in on-the- ground brand activations, both in and out of store, as well as events and product roadshows. Founded by Jess Kwan in 2000, the company has 14 offices nationwide and works with major local brands including Nestle, Permanis (ETIKA), Johnson & Johnson, Sony Mobile and Reckitt Benckiser.

The acquisition follows up from, Shanghai-based agency Always’s Southeast Asian expansion, having recently set up a regional hub in Singapore last year.

Always, majority-owned by JWT, offers strategy and execution expertise in the shopper, retail, field and channel marketing space.

“I am very pleased to have Malaysia’s leading field activation agency, ePromode, joining the Always Group. We will continue to expand our field marketing and activation solutions to our clients across Asia, ”said Cai Hua, Founder and Chairman of Always Group.

Following the acquisition, the company will be renamed to Always ePromode. The company will be led by Always Regional Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Jess, together with ePromode partner and shareholder Patrick Goh, who will stay on as co-Managing Directors of the company.
