(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – MullenLowe Malaysia’s Sailesh Wadhwa will be joining this year’s Global Effie Jury.
The Global Effies honour multinational marketing communication efforts that have proven their effectiveness in four or more countries on at least two continents.
Brands such as Always, Jaguar, Nike Football and Audi have been presented with the title in recent years. The Global Effie competition is judged simultaneously by top global marketers in Singapore, São Paulo, New York and London.
Speaking on his appointment, MullenLowe Malaysia’s Strategy Planning Director, Sailesh Wadhwa, said, “Winning a Global Effie is the ultimate testament to the strategic power of a creative idea that cuts across continents, countries, cultures and communities. I’m really humbled to be part of this learning experience once again. As these best practices continue to inspire our strategic solutions for all our clients here in Malaysia. ”
MullenLowe Malaysia’s Managing Director, Mazuin Zin, added: “We as an organization are committed to the philosophy that ‘Effie’ celebrates: Business / Marketing Effectiveness. And are glad that in our own way we can help champion this motto in whatever we do as an agency.”
Sailesh has been associated with the Effie institution for more than a decade now, as he has served on the jury multiple times for all formats of the competition at Local, Regional and Global levels.
In addition he has earned the distinction of bringing home Asia’s first Global Effie back in 2009.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.
We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTT, DOOH, influencer marketing, retail, etc.
Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.
Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.
Collaboration is key: partnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.
Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
