Malaysian marketing leader shines on global stage

Noreen wins “Leader of the Year” at the 2023 Gartner Marketing and Communications Awards in Denver this week.

First, Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar glory, then Malaysian movie Tiger Stripes wins Grand Jury prize at Cannes, and now our very own is on top of the world this week.

Noreen Sabrina Mohd Noor clinched Leader of the Year at the 13th Gartner Marketing and Communications Awards – a global, annual recognition program to recognize leading Marketing and Communications professionals and initiatives that have achieved real, measurable business outcomes.

Further kudos are in order because Noreen is the sole Malaysian, and in fact the only Asian winner, underscoring her remarkable achievements on a global scale.

She is also a judge at the coming Malaysian APPIES Marketing Campaigns Awards 2023.

Gartner announced, “With the unwavering vision to become a global Top 5 Tower Company, EDOTCO Group’s goal was to strengthen its global brand positioning. The organization appointed Noreen Sabrina as the Group Head, Corporate Communications and Branding.

Within just a year, Noreen successfully elevated EDOTCO Group’s reputation to become one of the region’s most respected tower companies.”

Noreen, who is Group Head Corporate Communications and Branding at EDOTCO Group, is no stranger to accolades, having won Marketer of the Year at the 2022 Malaysian CMO Awards as Best Marketer in Sustainable Brand Marketing.

“The Gartner Marketing and Communications Awards celebrate initiatives that push the marketing and communications function forward,” said Alexandra Earl, VP, Advisory in the Gartner Marketing Practice and Chair of the Awards.

“Our panel of 22 esteemed judges, comprised of leading CMOs and CCOs, have selected 12 winners from a field of 400 submissions from 256 companies across 41 countries. The winners were notable for their use of data to inform decision making and their relentless drive for innovation.”

Adlan Tajudin, Group Director and CEO shares, “Since her on boarding into the Group, one can immediately see the transformation from branding and general exposure perspectives.

Noreen has successfully brought a structured approach in promoting and enhancing the image of EDOTCO in the eyes of all relevant stakeholders and we are both proud and lucky to have her on our team.”

Noreen adds, “I am deeply honoured to receive this award. This award goes to the hard work by all EDOTCO champions who work tirelessly to connect close to 200 millionunconnected and under-connected citizens within 9 Asian markets via its tower network.

I am humbled to receive this prestigious award and put Malaysia om the global marketing map. Let this be an inspiration to all young women out there who dream big.”
