IPC shopping centre brings you an unusual ad to welcome the year of the rat

For years Jack Chow has lived an undisturbed life. But this year all that is about to change and you’re about to witness his journey of loss, longing and a little New Year Magic.

The ad’s creative director Lee Tak Shune said that IPC had already come up with their in mall theme before the script. The theme was Supersize Prosperity.

“The idea behind it is that every shopper big or small is treated to a wondrous CNY installation that features oversized decorations and even a giant reunion dinner scene.

“Simply put, shoppers get to experience CNY through the eyes of a rodent. This inspired the film that takes viewers through the life of a funny rat that finds refuge in Chinese household (without them knowing, at first),” said Lee.

The APPIES is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies or brands to present their best campaigns to the industry.

This is the only event where Live Presentations meets Live Judging.
