In conjunction with World Esports Day, Goodday Charge, champion in legitimising esports as a mainstream sport, proudly announces the official opening of Malaysia’s first all-ages, inclusive esports gym – the Goodday Charge Arena powered by Orange Esports Club. Officially launched on 14 October at Quill City Mall, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was officiated by Pia Lisa, Marketing Manager at Etika Sdn Bhd, and Adrian Gaffor, Co-Founder and owner of The Gaming Company in attendance.
To kick off the opening celebrations, the Goodday Charge Arena will host a full day of activities including FREE PLAY, allowing everyone to experience the Charge Arena at no cost. Attendees can participate in FREE workshops focused on the esports industry, geared towards young gamers and those looking to pursue careers in this rapidly growing field. But that’s not all—experience the thrill of open play sessions with some of Malaysia’s top live streamers, including Andrew ‘Stonkol69’ and ‘Abangkepuk’, alongside Malaysia’s First Senior Esports Team, Team eMAS.
Fresh off the overwhelming success of the Boomers2Gamers initiative—Goodday Charge’s search for Malaysia’s first senior esports team, the Charge Arena will be hosting Watch Party, with an exclusive sneak peek at three episodes of the highly anticipated Boomers2Gamers series, the first show of its kind to air on Astro Arena, showcasing the journey of Malaysia’s first senior esports team, Team eMAS, as they embrace the world of gaming, another significant step in Goodday Charge’s mission to legitimise esports. This is not just a watch party; it’s an invitation to be part of a vibrant gaming community and celebrate the spirit of esports together!
As an extension of this, the Charge Arena will also serve as a hub for fostering esports participation across all age groups, including seniors, by highlighting the physical, cognitive, and nutritional demands of esports, Goodday Charge wants to encourage healthy gaming practices. Like traditional athletes, esports players require proper nutrition and energy, underscoring the importance of Goodday Charge’s specially formulated chocolate milk, packed with Vitamin B complex for sustained energy. In line with this inclusivity, Charge Arena is designating every Tuesday as BOOMERS2GAMERS Day, where seniors can play for FREE, further reinforcing Charge Arena’s commitment to engaging gamers of all ages.
Located on Level 6 within Quill City Mall, Kuala Lumpur, the 2500 sqft hub offers a diverse range of gaming setups designed to cater to every gamer’s needs, including state-of-the-art PC setups, console gaming, racing simulators, and mobile game lounges. Visitors can also access content creation resources, streaming facilities, and professional coaching by the TGC team, creating an inclusive space for all esports enthusiasts, from seasoned athletes to casual gamers.
Amy Gan, VP of Marketing at Etika Sdn Bhd, commented on the occasion: “Goodday Charge has always been committed to transforming the way esports is perceived, and the launch of this arena marks
another step in that journey. By creating an inclusive space for people of all ages to explore esports, we are not only redefining healthy gaming but also fostering a community that spans generations. I am thrilled to see seniors and young gamers alike use this platform to bond, learn, and compete together.”
