Now that Malaysia has entered the endemic phase with businesses operating in the ‘new normal’, Gain Secure Sdn Bhd (Gain Secure) has seen momentum picking up for its Konfx conference planning and event management platform with the marketing community.
Its executive director Walter Wong said that the solution has been highly sought after by various government and local organisations, including event management companies, based here in Malaysia and overseas.
Konfx, a purely Malaysian-grown platform, was first introduced to the local and overseas markets in 2016.
Even during restrictions imposed as a result of the Movement Control Order (MCO) when physical events were discouraged for some two years, the platform continues to attract interest due to its user-friendly features.
“In the post-pandemic environment, the hosting of events is accelerating both in Malaysia and abroad and Konfx has been riding on the growth wave,” said Walter.
“At our end, we have further innovated on Konfx to position the platform as a ‘event companion mobile app’ which includes faster and more efficient check-in experiences on event day,” he added.
Walter further said that Gain Secure has been investing and will continue to invest in R&D with the aim of making Konfx “the best conference and event platform in the region”.
Konfx works by offering conference organisers direct input on conference parameters onto a single platform.
Since Movement Control Order (MCO) restrictions were uplifted early this year, the Konfx platform has been used at various events such throughout Southeast Asia.
Prior to the pandemic, international brands such as Microsoft, Veeam, Nutanix, SITEC, and Fortinet leveraged on Konfx’s innovation to ensure their events went smoothly.
On the local front, customers include esteemed names such as TM, the Ministry of Education and the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation.
“Since Konfx has deployed on multiple continents, we are now looking towards expanding effort and outreach in these regions particularly in North America and Europe,” said Walter, adding that it also supports hybrid events, both physical and virtual.
“We have also added additional innovative feature to make the platform more appealing to event organisers worldwide.”
Walter also shared that advanced analytics, automation and artificial intelligence (AI) have also been incorporated into the platform.
“The Konfx platform has been designed to be smart with more innovative features being added on so that organisations can effectively manage events while easing communication among all parties involved,” he explained, adding that the app also serves as a ‘check-in kiosk’.
“At the pre-event stage, organisers are able to create customised guest lists while also being empowered to plan, schedule and edit the agenda accordingly,” he further said, adding that speakers’ profiles can also be personalised for participants.
“Organisers are able to seamlessly assemble guest list before automatically informing them of their RSVP statuses with the solution also supporting third party systems such as EventBrite.”
To ease communication between attendees and allow smoother networking, a digital business card feature has also been introduced.
Walter also said that, post-pandemic, Gain Secure has been actively enhancing its partner programmes while its ecosystem with event management companies has been progressively growing.
Besides the Konfx platform, Gain Secure has a recurring clientele for its software development expertise.
The company had successfully developed customised solutions for brands such as ECO Shop, GD Express, 7-Eleven, Nando’s, Giant Hypermarket, Mydin and AirAsia.
The company’s main strength stems from its expertise in customising ‘user-friendly’ solutions that are integrated throughout the supply chain and with mobility devices.
