ATLAS Vending is joining forces with PepsiCo to install vending machines in hospitals’ staff areas, to offer free cold beverages for frontliners around the clock.
18 vending machines are being installed in all-new locations in Government hospitals and medical centres across the Klang Valley and in Muar, including in the Sungai Buloh Hospital, Malaysia’s leading centre for treating infectious diseases. The vending machines will be filled with drinks sponsored by PepsiCo, including Pepsi Black, 7up Free, Revive isotonic and Tropicana ready to drink juice drinks.
“For us at ATLAS Vending, we’ve been in the business of dispensing delight for the past 40 years, and having easy access to refreshing cold drinks can be a small but meaningful pleasure for our healthcare frontliners in this pandemic,” said Head of Marketing & Ancillary Business of ATLAS Vending, Amy Gan.
“They are hard at work round the clock, and may feel hot and tired, but when they have time to take a break, the canteen could be closed.”
Hence, Amy said that installing vending machines that dispenses free chilled drinks is the least they can do to appreciate frontliners for the sacrifices they’ve made over the last year.
We’ve seen how they have to tolerate wearing layers upon layers of PPE in sweltering conditions every day to help our nation survive this immensely challenging time,”said Beverage Marketing Lead of PepsiCo, Jennifer Lee. “Thus, as a gesture of thanks, we are offering a variety of well-loved drinks from the most popular PepsiCo brands for their refreshment, to suit different tastes during their rest breaks.”
Jennifer also added that close to 200,000 cans and bottles of drinks from PepsiCo will be replenished across the 18 vending machines in the next 3 months. In addition, MyChef is also sponsoring 500 packs of ready-to-eat meals for the frontliners at Sungai Buloh hospital.
