(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – Dentsu media Malaysia announced its collaboration with Media Prima TV Networks and the Japanese Association of Music Enterprises (JAME) to present a one-of-a-kind entertainment programme called ‘Muzik Hati Jepun’ specially curated for Malaysians.

‘Muzik Hati Jepun’ is a Malay-Japanese music travelogue hosted by Muhammad Aizuddin Anwar, or fondly Aizdean, a Tokyo-based Malaysian singer who has captured the hearts of Japanese since his debut in 2010.

In the eight-episode series, Aizdean, who speaks fluent Japanese, travels to different cities and towns in Japan, meeting a famous Japanese artist in each episode. Together with the artist, Aizdean visits places of interest, experiences the local culture and learns the rich heritage that influence the composition of some Japanese songs.

Yap Chee WengCommenting on the collaboration, Yap Chee Weng, Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu media Malaysia said, “Content marketing continues to grow in importance, and that led us to orchestrating an innovative solution whereby JAME would be able to leverage on our network to promote Japanese music and culture in Malaysia through a tailor-made programme featuring Aizdean’s talent, and with the support of Media Prima TV Networks as the exclusive media partner. It is a demonstration of Dentsu media Malaysia’s capabilities in innovation and in creating engaging branded content as we championed the concerted effort, in line with our brand proposition of going ‘Beyond Media’.

The bi-lingual music travelogue will be aired exclusively on Malaysia’s TV3.

“We are honoured to participate in this collaborative effort. With this collaboration, we are able to diversify the genre programmes in TV3,” said Datuk Kamal Khalid, Chief Executive Officer, Television Networks of Media Prima Berhad.

In the pilot episode, R&B crooner Aizdean finds himself in Okinawa, south of Japan, which is the birth place of ‘Kiroro’, the female duo most famous for their smash hit ‘Mirai-e’ that was later adapted into multiple languages around the world, such as the popular Chinese version ‘Hou Lai’. Other Japanese artists who are featured in the later episodes are rock star Diamond Yukai, classic-pop heartthrob Daisuke Kawakami and traditional ballad singer Yukino Ichikawa, to name a few.

“This programme aims to bring Malaysians on a journey to delve into the heart of Japanese songs to appreciate its beauty and origins, and at the same time introduce interesting and unique places, cultures and heritages in Japan. Together with Aizdean, a talented Malaysia-born singer and popular artist in Japan as the programme host, it is our wish to bridge a connection between Japan and Malaysia, and enable Malaysians to learn more about Japan through the programme, said Akifumi Suzuki, Project Manager, JAME.”

‘Muzik Hati Jepun’ or ‘Uta Gokoro’ in Japanese is produced by JAME and TV Man Union. Catch it every Saturday, 6pm to 6:30pm on TV3.
