Columbus of Dentsu Aegis bags UNIQLO

UNIQLO, one of the leading global fashion brands, has awarded its Performance Marketing business to Columbus Malaysia, a Dentsu Aegis Network digital marketing agency.
Commenting on this development, a UNIQLO spokesperson said, “Columbus has won us over with their innovative, data-driven performance marketing capabilities.”
“From ideation to implementation, they can provide valuable insights into our campaign’s performance and effectiveness which can help us achieve strong results on our digital channels,” the spokesperson added.
Following the appointment, Columbus, is now tasked with performance marketing duties, which encompass strategic planning, managing and deploying various digital marketing tools to optimise the performance of UNIQLO’s online marketing campaigns. The appointment is effective immediately.
The number of internet users in Malaysia is growing by the day with more than 77% of the country’s population currently online.
“It’s not a question of why we’re investing in e-commerce and online marketing, but more of how to ensure that we’re optimising our online assets to reach the right people at the right time on the right device with the right message,” the UNIQLO spokesperson stated.
Echoing UNIQLO’s sentiments, Abdullah Alkury, Managing Director, Columbus Malaysia said, “Malaysia is pegged as the new frontier for e-commerce, which opens up market access for brands like UNIQLO to future proof their business by offering online shopping opportunities.”
Abdullah added, “It is crucial that brands have the right strategies in place for a successful e-commerce business, and that includes having a robust digital marketing strategy that covers performance marketing.”
“There is great synergy between the teams at Columbus and UNIQLO, arising from our shared values to be innovative and win in today’s digital economy.”
