The legend that brought back the Thomas Cup to Malaysia after 25 years.
(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – Seven Seas Malaysia together with Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia recently released a three-part video in collaboration with Malaysia’s iconic badminton player, Foo Kok Keong, an athlete well known for his fighting spirit.
Part 1: The Fighting Person
The collaboration was initiated to promote the brand’s latest product Nutri-Trio, designed for overall health and wellbeing, especially for those pursuing an active lifestyle despite their age.
A badminton legend who epitomised the ‘Never Say Die’ spirit, Foo Kok Keong never gave up despite the challenges in front of him.
Part 2: The Hardest Times
The three-part video follows Foo Kok Keong from his boyhood days to the time he was part of the Malaysian badminton team that brought back the elusive Thomas Cup after 25 years.
Group Account Director Gavin Teoh shared, “The health supplement category is challenging because there’s parity in every sense of the word. The opportunity was in Seven Seas being the first brand to debunk that which people perceive as natural progression – the older you are, the harder it is to continue doing what you love.”
“With the introduction of this campaign, we wanted to show that Foo Kok Keong isn’t just a national icon, but his story and life can be an inspiration for everyone who still want to live their lives actively. Reinforcing Seven Seas’ philosophy that age is just a number.”
