Spikes Asia’s Festival Director, Joe Pullos has stepped down from his role to pursue other opportunities in APAC. In light of the challenges caused by the COVID-19 crisis, Spikes 2020 was canceled and will be introduced in 2021 in a new festival model.
“We are grateful to Joe for his efforts in building Spikes to the region’s leading award for creativity and thank him for the passion and enthusiasm he brought to Spikes,” said Chairman of Cannes Lions and Spikes Asia, Philip Thomas.
With changes afoot, Joe has decided to step down from his role and pursue other opportunities in Asia.
“I’ve had an amazing few years leading the festival, which has given me phenomenal experience in developing amazing content, partnerships, awards, operations as well as commercial leadership,” said Joe. “My time at Spikes also allowed me to build an incredible network in APAC of the best in the creative communications industry and it’s now time for me to do something else and I’m honestly really excited about the next challenge in my career.”
The Spikes Asia team in Singapore will be led by Atifa Silk, Group Director at Haymarket Media Asia, effective immediately. Details of Spikes 2021 will be announced shortly.
