It’s not only the industry that is changing, so is the way people work.
Understanding these insights Sin Chew Media Corporation has kick-started a brand new venture which aims to link over 20,000 members from various businesses, organisations, entrepreneurs and freelancers.
The offices branded as CO3 (COnnectivity, COllaboration and COmmunity) will have 40 locations across 20 Asean cities, including Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuching, Brunei, Singapore, Jakarta and more. Apart from providing a space for people to work this new venture also aims at building a network and providing cross-discipline and country networking for its members.
According to a report on mysinchew.com access to amenities such a meeting facilities, broadband services and even services such as freelance services within the CO3 community are available via different membership services.
MARKETING spoke to Sin Chew Media Corporation’s executive director & CMO Eugene Wong who shared that the new social office was in line with Sin Chew’s transformation road map to embrace new economy and added a new revenue stream for the company.
Eugene who is also the director of CO3, added that the group had in the past 2 years embarked on other non-media ventures such as e-commerce (Logon.my- a Chinese E-Commerce Portal) and logistics.
“Moving towards social is a global phenomenon for media groups. A brick and mortal social office comes at a right time to connect the large pool of Sin Chew media’s social audience and potential physical audience from C03” he added.
CO3 will open its first Social Office at the Korea Wallpaper showroom in Puchong. The 21,000-square-foot facility is expected to open for business in June.
