Nick Seckold, the former Australia and New Zealand managing director of Dentsu Aegis Network’s marketing performance agency iProspect, has a new gig after his position was made redundant from DAN earlier this year.
Seckold will now be the Asia-Pacific regional vice president of advertising sales for Microsoft Advertising.
In addition to DAN, Seckhold’s experience spans Mindshare in the UK, as well as head of digital for Mindshare Singapore, and then APAC CEO for the media agency. He also spent time at Facebook, leading its marketing technology platform Atlas, and then becoming regional director of marketing science for Asia Pacific.
Seckold said he’d worked closely with Microsoft Advertising over the years, and was excited to join the team.
“At a time of unprecedented disruption in the industry, no-one is better placed than Microsoft Advertising to provide consumer-centric, data-driven, transparent media and technology solutions,” he said.
“Having worked closely with Microsoft Advertising over many years across a number of markets around the world, I’ve always been impressed with their ability to innovate and drive meaningful outcomes for their partners. I’m really excited about the opportunity to lead Microsoft Advertising sales across APAC and to build on the momentum the team has created in this part of the world.”
Lynne Kjolso, global vice president for Microsoft Advertising corporate sales, said: “With over 21 years in media, Nick is a proven leader who brings a depth of digital media, search, and APAC regional expertise to this role, as well as combination of agency and publisher experience and well-honed people leadership skills. I am thrilled to announce this appointment.”
