Vpon Big Data Group (“Vpon”) announced the appointment of Joe Nguyen (pictured left) and Basil Chua (pictured right) as senior consultants to accelerate its Southeast Asia market development and Asia expansion.
Both Joe and Basil are veterans in media, advertising, data, travel, and e-Commerce in the Asia Pacific.

According to Joe’s LinkedIn, his experience ranges from working in the eCommerce, digital advertising and advertising technology verticals, and is currently work with clients on their online strategies to understand and maximize data assets and future business direction.
Over the years, his roles have spanned from Chief Operating Officer to Chief Technical Officer to leading Sales & Marketing.
“It has been exciting to watch Vpon growing in the past few years as they have excelled in big data marketing and advertising solutions, especially in the travel sector,” Joe said. “Vpon has played a crucial role in helping the National Tourism Organizations (NTOs), including Japan’s JNTO, use advanced data and analytics to formulate effective marketing and recovery strategies.”
Basil on the other hand, is the managing director of Multiverse Partners, a Singapore based strategy consulting, media, advertising and technology specialists firm while also wearing the CMO of CubePay, a digital payment financial technology company headquartered in Singpore.
In 2010, he was the director and territory head of Fox International Channels in Malaysia responsible for launching Nat Geo Wild in Malaysia under a partnership between News Corp’s Fox International Channels (FIC) and Astro.
In a conversation with MARKETING Magazine, Basil explained that as Victor gears up to take on the global market, SEA’s market is a strategic first stop. However, it remains a fragmented one. Through their role as senior consultant, both Joe and him will provide Vpon with strategic partnership development to firm up the ecosystem.
“Data is the lifeblood of the digital media and advertising ecosystem and Vpon’s high quality audience data and mobile advertising inventory will provide improved accuracy in targeting,” he said.
