“The planet is being destroyed for profit, and top ad agencies conceal the damage,” Polina Zabrodskaya
A whistleblower storm has erupted in the advertising world as Polina Zabrodskaya, a former creative partner at AMV BBDO, takes a stand against greenwashing—alleging she was forced to resign after challenging sustainability claims for Mars-owned brands Galaxy and Sheba.
Backed by activist group Climate Whistleblowers, Zabrodskaya claims she faced harassment and discrimination after voicing concerns over child labour in cocoa farming and the legitimacy of Sheba’s ‘100% sustainable’ fish sourcing.
She insists she will not take a settlement or sign an NDA, declaring:
“The planet is being destroyed for profit, and top ad agencies conceal the damage.”
Igniting a Wider Rebellion Against Greenwashing in Marketing?
AMV BBDO has hit back, refuting all allegations ahead of an April employment tribunal showdown.
A company spokesperson declined further comment, citing ongoing proceedings.
Zabrodskaya, who was suspended and later cleared after speaking out to a senior Mars executive, says her case is about more than her own experience—it’s about exposing advertising’s role in covering up corporate environmental damage.
With six million people working in advertising, will her stand ignite a wider rebellion against greenwashing in marketing?
Or will big brands and agencies sweep it under the rug?
