Malaysia’s most beloved animated series Ejen Ali is set to release its feature film, Ejen Ali The Movie on 28 November 2019 at the same time in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
Primeworks Studio and Wau Animation made the announcement last week causing ample of excitement among the fans of the series that has two (2) million viewers weekly when it airs on TV3. The series debuted on Malaysians screen in 2016 and has since then been broadcasted in over 50 countries including regional networks Disney Asia, Nickelodeon India, MNCTV in Indonesia and AlMajeed TV in the Middles East and North Africa.
Ejen Ali follows Ali and his uncle, Bakar; who cooperate in Meta Advance Tactical Agency (MATA) missions after Ali accidentally becomes a MATA agent after using a device prototype (IRIS) that allows computer programs to control the wearer’s actions.
The feature film explores Ali’s divergence from the MATA Agency as he realizes he is no longer the only wearer IRIS and questions his usefulness. As a rogue figure reveals a surprising personal connection to Ali, he risks his loyalty to MATA and embarks on a chase to unravel the mysterious links.
