Halal beauty brand Safi opens for creative pitch

Safi, the halal skincare and beauty brand from Wipro Unza’s is on the lookout for a creative agency in Malaysia. The appointment will be for two years.

A spokesman for the company said that the whole process is estimated to take a couple of months and possible agencies will be shortlisted. The winning agency is expected to have a good grasp of the beauty and personal care category with strong local insights as well as operational experience as Wipro Unza expects to focus on driving product innovation come 2020.

Sources say the current account holder Wunderman Thompson will be contending as well to retain the account.

Wipro Unza aims to achieve RM1 billion in group level revenue within the next five to six years, an increase from its current revenue contribution of RM600 million.

Earlier this year, Wipro Unza appointed PHD Malaysia to manage integrated media duties for two years with the option to renew for another.  Meanwhile in 2018, it named Saki Goh GM- marketing to oversee the start-to-end marketing function, including the development and implementation of brand strategies, as well as new and existing products.
