Axiata’s heartwarming Hari Raya ad

Axiata’s 2019 Raya film titled Project Eid features a precocious and technologically-savvy young girl named Adila who uses technology, in the form of a friend and partner, to bring her family closer together.

The story unfolds as Adila and her family prepare for the last iftar of Ramadan at their kampung home but are missing a member of their family who recently started a new life in the city.

This serves as the spark for Adila to put her skills in technology to good use and devise a way for her family to share some special festive moments together despite the distance.

Partnering with creative agency M&C Saatchi, Project Eid is Axiata’s first Raya film and has already garnered a positive online response from Malaysians since its debut on social media on 27 May 2019.

The APPIES is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies or brands to present their best campaigns to the industry.

This is the only event where Live Presentations meets Live Judging.

Similar to TED Talks, The APPIES is the chance for great presenters with outstanding work to show it off to some of the industry’s most important industry leaders.

This year’s winners will receive Gold, Silver or Bronze trophies for 21 categories, and 6 special Best of Best categories (red trophies) that require no submissions!

Campaign entries must have run between June 2023 to May 2024
