SPEEDHOME, Malaysia’s leading, end-to-end property rental platform, announces effective immediately the appointment of Melissa Lam as Chief Operating Officer (“COO”).
Melissa joins SPEEDHOME as its COO and will work closely with Founder & CEO Wong Whei Meng on the company’s overall operations strategy and execution. She will oversee SPEEDHOME’s end-to-end service delivery, including implementation, support, customer success, and infrastructure.
“Melissa brings over 13 years of work experience, with her most recent role as the General Manager of Senja Aman Development. She was involved in successfully managing multi-divisional properties and implementing operational efficiencies, which has resulted in high customer satisfaction rates leading to increased revenue growth,” says Wong Whei Meng, Founder & CEO of SPEEDHOME.

With experience in Malaysia, China, and the United States across various industries, including oil & gas, reinsurance, external audit, and most recently, property development, Melissa, who is also a registered Chartered Accountant, has consistently grown teams and business units placed under her care by demonstrating and communicating evident strategic acumen right through to execution delivering operational excellence.
During her tenure as the General Manager leading the property development firm, Senja Aman, Melissa was responsible for the strategic financial management, property development, and hotel ownership for the Group. She was also instrumental in completing a commercial product with a GDV of RM450 million comprising a hotel, serviced apartments, and a wellness center.
ln addition, she led the opening team for the 5-star Angsana Teluk Bahang beachfront resort in Oct 2020 with 250 keys, 5 F&B outlets, and a unique leaseback ownership program for the serviced suites.
Melissa’s addition to SPEEDHOME comes at a time of expansion for SPEEDHOME as it heads into its next growth phase. With a focus on scaling up its business revenue by providing end-to-end property management services, SPEEDHOME is building a more robust value-driven infrastructure for its stakeholders while transforming an age-old industry into a digitally efficient property ecosystem for all Malaysians.
