The no-smoking ruling at Malaysian eateries, which started on January 1, has inspired a variety of measuring tape memes on Twitter.

The same article also stated that anyone caught smoking in prohibited areas can be fined up to RM10,000 or jailed up to two years under Regulation 11 of the Control of Tobacco Product Regulations 2004.
However, in order to enable the public to adjust to the ban, the Health Ministry announced that it will not enforce the law until July 1, and only written warnings will be issued to the offenders till then.
