Tune kicks off sports marketing initiative

(marketingmagazine.com.my) – Malaysian digital insurer, Tune Protect entered into a partnership with Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) to be the Official Insurance Partner for the Malaysia Super League and TM Malaysia Cup.

The partnership kicks off with the teams 2016 season.

Through this partnership, Tune Protect brand logos will be featured on referee kits arm sleeves for all competitions, including the Super League, 100PLUS Premier League, the TM Malaysia Cup and the Superbest Power FA Cup.

Tune Protect’s referee kit deal will start when the TM Malaysia Cup kicks off and the Super League season resumes on 12 and 13 July respectively.

The deal also includes opportunities for comprehensive marketing, sales promotion, activation and engagement activities, as well as in-stadium branding, corporate hospitality and use of club and player image rights for promotion purposes around the two premier competitions.

“We view this partnership as an exciting step towards further expanding the brand’s exposure and reach, targeting passionate football fans across the country.

“Having top-tier referees carrying its brand values of professionalism and integrity into every football match in the Malaysian league was a key aspect of their involvement with Football Malaysia LLP.

“Like Tune Protect, referees emanate a sense of security by looking out for all players on the field and ensure that players get the necessary support on and off the field when a collision, foul play or any injury occurs,” Razman Hafidz bin Abu Zarim, Chairman of Tune Protect Group, shared.

“We’re delighted to have Tune Protect supporting Malaysian Football and taking the innovative step to brand our tournament referee kits.

“It is a major signal of the strong marketing value of our leagues and cup competitions, and a great example of more corporates and sponsors recognising how such partnerships benefit their brands while helping to drive Malaysian Football forward.” FMLLP Chief Executive Officer Kevin Ramalingam added.

The deal between Tune and FMLLP was brokered by MP & Silva, a leading sports international media rights agency, appointed by the Football Association of Malaysia as its global adviser for all media and commercial rights for its competitions.
