Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia appoints new head of digital and social

Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia has appointed James Gaubert as its new Head of Digital and Social. 

A digital marketer with close to 20 years’ experience in various markets, James was most recently head of SEO agency, Bruce Clay’s Middle East Office where he laid the foundation for a team of sound professionals, garnered an impressive portfolio of clients, and contributed to its Agency of the Year win at the 2017 MENA Search Awards. James has worked with clients across multiple industries including Unilever, Porsche, Cartier, Calvin Klein, IKEA, Yamaha, and General Motors.

James’ experience spans SEO, PPC, RTB, paid media, UX/UI, website development and design, social media management, CRM and loyalty, mobile advertising, AR, and digital transformation. As part of his role with Ogilvy and Mather, he will head the agency’s Social@Ogilvy division, reporting to Ogilvy and Mather Chief Executive Officer, David Mayo. 

He will also work alongside Ogilvy Malaysia Chief Creative Officer, Gavin Simpson and Ogilvy Malaysia Chief Operations Officer, Jacey Lee on delivering creative client solutions that maximize reach and customer engagement in today’s digital age.

Commenting on his appointment, David Mayo, Chief Executive Officer of Ogilvy Malaysia said, “Digital is central to our agency business in Malaysia and James is a powerful addition to our team. He brings to us a strong set of skills in digital and social media that will support our clients, and help them change the way their stories are told.”
