Media Prima collaborates with TM to expand CJ WOW SHOP’s audience share

Media Prima’s collaboration with TM to enable CJ WOW SHOP to tap into more subscribers

Media Prima Berhad’s home shopping network, CJ WOW SHOP, has partnered with Malaysia’s premier high-speed broadband service provider, Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s unifi.
This is in-line with the Group’s efforts to increase commerce revenue and expand its reach to more Malaysian homes. This partnership enables CJ WOW SHOP to tap into more than one million unifi subscribers through its television and video streaming platform, unifi TV.
Since 1 June 2018, unifi TV customers can tune in to Channel 104 to enjoy 24 hours of non-stop home shopping programming featuring a wide range of CJ WOW SHOP’s innovative product offerings including home appliances, kitchenware, fashion, and beauty items. Viewers will also be able to catch the programmes on-the-go via the mobile platform, unifi PlayTV.
We have moved from strength to strength since we first launched two years ago. We recently celebrated our second anniversary with a 10-hour back-to-back live show which recorded total sales of over RM2 million – our highest sales record to date. This partnership with TM places us in a better position to become the leading customer-oriented media commerce company in Malaysia. The 24-hour channel on unifi, together with CJ WOW SHOP’s air time on Media Prima’s free-to-air television channels, will allow us to reach more Malaysian households and generate greater sales around the clock. All this validates our confidence that we are on track to meet our sales target for 2018,” said Kim Yang Hyun, Chief Executive Officer of CJ WOW SHOP.
Last year, CJ WOW SHOP recorded total sales of RM130 million. The partnership with TM is in-line with CJ WOW SHOP’s effort to surpass the RM200 million annual revenue mark by year-end.
It will allow CJ WOW SHOP – which also has a dedicated channel on MYTV– to broaden its visibility and to sell round the clock. The Group is committed to enrich its customers experience by expanding its product variety and enhancing internal capacities.
In celebrating its debut on unifi TV, CJ WOW SHOP is offering shopping vouchers worth RM20 exclusively for unifi TV subscribers. A special promo code will be aired across channels on unifi TV throughout the whole month of June. Customers will be able to redeem this voucher between 1 – 30 June with each purchase from CJ WOW SHOP online and via its mobile app worth RM100 and above.
