Going viral with a dash of Lemonade


Lemonade, the digital influencer agency of Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) Malaysia, recently teamed up with Jenn Chia aka Auntie Siow, one of Malaysia’s top online personalities, to drive leads for property client SP Setia.

Titled No. 1 Property Agent In Malaysia, she went live with the video on August 12, amassing half a million views in just two days across various platforms.

Starring one of Jenn Chia’s most loved alter-egos – Auntie Siow describes herself as the Number One Property Agent and introduces key features of Setia City Residences with her usual over-the-top aunty antics.

“As a content creator, it’s always a challenge and a goal to produce something fresh, fun, and authentic to my brand,” says Jenn.

Originally meant to be a full-scale production in one of SP Setia’s showrooms, Jenn Chia and the Lemonade team devised an alternative creative solution to fit COVID-19 safety protocols.

“With MCO restrictions and many property agents in Zoom meetings with potential buyers, we immediately thought of the green-screen virtual experience,” says Sabrina Chan, Lemonade project team lead.

“It was not an easy feat but the overwhelming response was worth it, as we like to say ‘when life gives us lemons, we make lemon meringue pie’,” Sabrina adds.

“Jenn Chia is one of the pioneer ambassadors of the #StandTogether campaign co-initiated by SP Setia and The Star in 2018. She has since been a strong supporter of the Kindness campaign, targeting all Malaysians especially school-going children,” comments Tan Siow Chung, Divisional General Manager of SP Setia Berhad Group.
