How This Drove 184 Marketing Presentations Into Four Halls Over Two Days!

The annual APPIES Marketing Campaigns Festival was the biggest ever this year!

This is the ninth year for APPIES Malaysia and the mission to develop talent and highlight great marketing campaigns in a Live presentation setting remains the unique hallmark of this event.

Nowhere can you get an overview of so many campaigns in one place.

More than 100 marketing campaigns were judged by over 20 senior marketers in a predetermined format that allowed the audience to get a helicopter view of the strategies, thinking and results across 21 industry categories.

Students from selected private and public universities were also invited to enjoy the rare learnings they’ll never get in their classrooms.

This is an ongoing policy of the organisers who have been doing this from day one. It’s our way of spreading love and Appiness.

The official awards presentation and celebration night is on 16 August 2024, and table bookings are now open here.

Meanwhile, enjoy all the action in pictures.

After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.

We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTTDOOHinfluencer marketing, retail, etc.

Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.

Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.

Collaboration is keypartnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.

Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
