Columbia Video Films is all set to launch CNEEMAA, the world’s first OTT services platform created specifically for Tamil film aficionados. With subscription plans starting from RM9.90, the platform will offer a huge selection of Tamil classics from 1930s to early 2000s.

Columbia Video Films is pleased to announce that the company’s latest venture CNEEMAA is ready for its launch on September 16.

Interestingly, this is the world’s first ever Tamil classics OTT platform with over 1500 classic movie library collection. Operating since the 1970s, Columbia Video Films is the world’s largest copyright owner of Tamil films.

CNEEMAA promises to deliver a unique experience to Tamil film fans with a collection of classics from as early as 1930s to films released in early 2000s. In addition to movies, this Tamil OTT platform will also have separate segments where members will be able to view song clips and a compilation of the comedy scenes from any of the movie library.

CNEEMAA is a subscription-based model with monthly, half-yearly, and yearly subscription plans starting from as low as RM9.90. It will be available on multiple devices including iOS, android, and web.

The history of Tamil movies dates back to 1920s when silent films were being made in Tamil Nadu. This history clearly reveals the enthusiasm of the people regarding cinema. Tamil classic movies have always had their own fan base and star following.

Many of the Tamil movie stars are no less than demi gods, with a larger than life figure. CNEEMAA is looking to deliver unique movie viewing experiences to the highly enthusiastic Tamil speaking community around the globe.

CNEEMAA is the brainchild of Christopher Ravin, the Managing Director of Columbia Video Films (M) Sdn. Bhd. Over the last two decades, he has been in the content distribution and content creation industry.

Under his leadership, Columbia Video Films thrives to become a market leader in the global content supply segment. CNEEMAA has been his dream project since 2017, and the dream is now about to come true.

“CNEEMAA is about reliving timeless memories for family entertainment. We have now evolved from linear to internet with fully digitized content library that has been preserved in its original format, maintaining its sound and picture quality for best viewing experience.” Christopher mentioned.
