Telco major teams up with The Clan, other agencies for marketing & branding
U Mobile announced the appointment of several agencies for its Marketing Services and Brand Communications portfolio, while deciding to call pitch for a PR agency and creative agency for its brand communications portfolio in Q1 2018.
In a pitch for its marketing services, which included incumbent BBDO Malaysia, U Mobile has taken on board independent agency The Clan as the creative agency for its Pre-paid segment.
U Mobile also reappointed BPN as its media agency for marketing services. Meanwhile TBWA, the incumbent creative agency for Post-paid segment, will be expanding its role to include creative services for Enterprise Communications for the telco.
For Brand Communications specifically, U Mobile has reappointed Brandscope Malaysia to manage the telco’s out-of-home (OOH) campaigns. Brandscope will also take on media buying and planning roles beyond OOH.
The telco also awarded digital agency duties to C27, with an aim to get its social media content and campaign execution on Instagram, gain momentum.
