We’ve heard, seen and read many, many, many accounts by creatives about tough clients, budget-less briefs and the all too common ‘suit with an attitude’. But what about the guys who take on the role of negotiator on behalf of agency? The guys who bite the first bullet for the creative team? The suits?
In a bid to hear the horror from another perspective, MARKETING is calling all suits — new or seasoned — to come together for two days of insights from one of the industry’s power suits, Omar Shaari.
Slated for September 7 and 8, the Power Suit 3.0 Workshop is going to be your unorthodox programme by design. It’s the first of its kind to hit these neck of the woods and promises to take account management staff on journey that will help the reevaluate their account management approaches, inspire holistic and integrated problem-solving skills and get them closer to being at the helm of a shop — boutique or not — one day.
Dentsu One CEO Omar Shaari has been in the business for over two decades and comes armed with industry experience from around the world. “Are you walking with the right compass? Get a head start, and get ahead in your career” are his words of wisdom for suits with aspirations of being more than just the middleman between client and agency.
“Account Management are best ego managers in the world. As the conduit between client and agency, they have the most difficult role in the agency. They are responsible for everything and everyone and are rarely in the limelight, even though they are the front liners who manage the business. This programme is long overdue, we want to help them shine, lead and stake their claim to fame” said MARKETING Magazine and organiser of the programme, Professor Harmandar Singh.
