Digi has just launched a new platform to incentivise creatives to share their ideas and be rewarded. The new website which went live yesterday is a creative crowd sourcing community platform called KreativeCrew.
A creative brief is given for each project on the website and based on the campaign those interested in taking up the challenge are required to submit their idea in the requested format such as photographs, GiFs, audio files and more.
So far the active campaigns on the website are from Digi, however, moving forward the network plans to allow other brands, NGOs and collaborators to post up projects and reward creators for their ideas.
Speaking to MARKETING on the reason behind launching the platform, Chan May Ling, Digi’s Head of Marketing Services shared,
“We wanted to help build an open platform that democratises creative content develoment in Malaysia. We hope to work with young talent and expand the creative landscape to talented people who are able to contribute to the marketing and advertising community. Also as a brand, we see an increasing need to obtain more content to cater to a magnitude of platforms. We hope to inspire budding creative minds in the country to achieve their dreams and work with the brands that they love and can identify with”
Mei Ling encouraged more people to join their newly launched KreativeCrew and added that apart from Digi-related briefs, the platform will soon carry projects from NGOs who would like to tap into the minds of bright talents.
A great move from the brand on getting new ideas and possibly recruiting new creatives.
