(marketingmagazine.com.my)–Tourism Western Australia (Tourism WA) has appointed Cohn & Wolfe as its PR agency to increase the State’s visibility as a top tourism destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
This appointment will be an extension of the PR services that Cohn & Wolfe currently provides Tourism WA in driving publicity for Western Australia within Indonesia.
Effective January 2017, the contract extension will now include the markets of Singapore and Malaysia in addition to Indonesia for a period of six months.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of Tourism WA David Lowe said he was looking forward to the agency working with Cohn & Wolfe to inspire travellers to make Western Australia their next preferred holiday destination.
“Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia are important markets for Western Australia, adding a collective $484 million to the State’s economy and attracting more than 231,000 visitors in the year ending September 2016,” David said.
“Western Australia offers many extraordinary tourism experiences, some of which can’t be found anywhere else in Australia, and in some cases the world.” He added.
Tasked with highlighting Western Australia as a destination of choice for travellers through publicity campaigns, Cohn & Wolfe will aim to boost the number of people visiting the State from the APAC region.
