GREAT NEWS FOR OUT-OF-HOME PLAYERS IN MALAYSIA
As more marketers are pushing for dynamic solutions in Out of Home, content and quality demands have increased phenomenally.
According to Moving Walls, there are more than 70 media owners, 180 digital networks and 4,000 screens reaching 4 million people daily in Malaysia’s Digital OOH space.
Now the market is poised for more growth, with the advent of the world’s best…
World leader Leyard is here.
Out of Home media players in Malaysia can now step up to up to a global standard in LED production quality.
Thanks to a new partnership, Leyard techonology and best practices have been secured for Malaysian OOH players by Henry H Chai, Director of OOHM International. Leyard Optoelectronic Co., Ltd was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Beijing, China.
A global leader in design, production, distribution, and service of digital displays, video walls, and visualization products worldwide, Leyard has gained significant market share in fine pitch LED.
They has been winning multiple awards since 2013.
In 2015, Forbes named Leyard as one of China’s 100 strongest public companies and its stock is recognized for an A rating. Market research firm Futuresource Consulting has pegged Leyard as the biggest LED display company out there.
The Chinese company, which has a strong global presence is now lighting its way to Malaysia.
All the way from the Sahara to Siberia, from Shanghai to Singapore, it has been possible to find Leyard on television sets, in public venues like airports and train stations, in corporate offices, retail stores, and on broadcast sets all over the world.
Some of Leyard’s famous installations are the screen in ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel’s Live! television show, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony LED Scroll Display and the NASDAQ Media Conference Room.
With almost twenty years of experience in the Digital OOH industry, Henry is pushing for Leyard’s expansion in Malaysia with a role of distributing Leyard’s technologies to advertisers, markets and corporates in Malaysia.
Why Malaysia?
“Malaysia certainly is a big OOH market and the time is ripe for marketers to experiment and advertise in a smarter manner,” says Henry.
“Leyard has already planted its roots in Malaysia with major installations in Genting Highlands and KLIA2.
“You can see that there is a trend in Malaysia whereby DOOH (Digital Out Of Home) is also being used more creatively, to complementing social media campaigns either through integration or through content creation,” adds Henry.
According to Dentsu Aegis Network, DOOH screens has led to new OOH buying possibilities – shorter timeframe and more ad insertions per location. OOH media is expected to close at an 11.9% growth by year-end (2018), making it the second-fastest growing medium in Malaysia.
Leyard Showpiece in Malaysia
In today’s age where media displays are becoming the everyday norm, Leyard puts a whole new spin on lights, sounds and visuals to Genting Highland’s casino at Resorts World.
Leyard installed one of the biggest curved screen in the main hall which covered a huge area of 50.69 square meters and the screen is composed of 880 MV4s.
On the right side, three smaller screens were installed which were composed of 480 MV4s with each small screen having an area of 9.22 square meters.
Leyard’s amazing speed at completing the project demonstrated the company’s leading role in the LED Display industry.
Leyard also designed a full colour outdoor LED Display for advertising purposes in Genting Highlands which was completed in November 2011.
In addition to that, Leyard installed a full color indoor LED Display which is used to release messages at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2.
Making the world more visual, digital screens have allowed OOH media owners to penetrate both niche and mass environments, allowing brands to reach the young urban population that is otherwise hard to reach by traditional media: offices, transit spaces , taxis and retail outlets.
“Digital OOH advertising is capable of brand reinforcement, triggering responses for immediate call-to-action, and providing an immersive experience which is key for advertisers,” notes Henry.
“As it becomes increasingly challenging to reach today’s consumer in the fragmented media landscape, the effectiveness of Digital Out-of-Home advertising has become more significant to brand marketers.
