Avanade Earns Top Honours as ‘Best AI Consulting Service Provider’

In a significant recognition of its pioneering AI initiatives, business consulting and technology company Avanade has been named the ‘Best AI Consulting Service Provider’ by the 2024 AI Breakthrough Awards. This accolade highlights the success of Avanade’s Disrupt Avanade programme, spearheaded by the company’s first Chief AI Officer, Florin Rotar (pic above).

The Disrupt Avanade initiative is a part of the company’s Global Centre for AI, which manages the AI strategy and the upskilling of their 60,000 employees, ensuring adherence to responsible AI practices. The programme focuses on integrating AI across all business functions with a people-first approach that emphasizes cultural adaptation, skills development and effective change management.

This award also celebrates Avanade’s role in Microsoft’s Early Access Programme with OpenAI, exploring and scaling innovative AI-driven projects that enhance productivity, creativity and collaboration.

The company’s efforts in Malaysia, including the launch of Southeast Asia’s first generative AI lab in Kuala Lumpur (pic below), underscore its commitment to leveraging AI technology for transformative business solutions.

AI Breakthrough managing director, Steve Johansson, commended Avanade for utilising generative AI to empower human-centric companies to innovate and increase efficiency.

This recognition comes shortly after Avanade and Accenture secured the title of Microsoft’s Global System Integrator Partner of the Year for the 19th consecutive year, along with the new Global Business Transformation Partner of the Year award for Microsoft’s Copilot.

The AI Breakthrough Awards programme, drawing over 5,000 nominations globally, continues to spotlight leaders in the AI space, with Avanade at the forefront of this transformative technology.
