Spotify finally launched in Israel, Vietnam, Romania and South Africa
Spotify, the world’s largest global music streaming subscription service has at last launched in four new markets, Vietnam, South Africa, Romania, and Israel.
With over a community of over 159 million users, including over 71 million Spotify Premium subscribers, now across 65 markets worldwide, music fans across all countries can now enjoy instant access to Spotify’s free ad-supported and subscription services.
“We’re really excited to bring Spotify to these four markets, connecting their rich music cultures with millions of artists and users across the world,” said Cecilia Qvist, Global Head of Markets at Spotify.
The website in South Africa went live on Monday afternoon, offering a free 30-day trial to its Premium service, which costs R59.99/month after the trial period ends for users in South Africa. There is also a free tier.
In Vietnam, would-be customers pay 59,000 Vietnamese Dong per month for a subscription.
In Israel, meanwhile, a Premium subscription sets you back 19.90 NIS per month. Spotify in Romania costs 4.99 euros per month, the premium version.
Over in Malaysia, the premium version of Spotify is RM 14.90 a month.
