Shukor takes on Big role


Media Prima Berhad has appointed Mohamad Shukor Bin Ariffin (picture) as the new Chief Executive Officer of Big Tree Outdoor (BTO) Sdn Bhd.

As CEO, he will be responsible for the overall operations of BTO, Malaysia’s leading out-of-home advertising company.

He will focus on strengthening the core business of the company while pursuing new opportunities in line with Media Prima’s long-term growth strategies and reports to the Group Managing Director of Media Prima.
Before this appointment, Shukor was BTO’s Chief Operating Officer.

He joined BTO in April 2003 as Manager Corporate Affairs and Business Development. He was later promoted to the position of General Manager, Business Development and Corporate Planning in September 2009 and then as General Manager Operations in October 2011.

His other appointments before BTO include Plus Berhad, Medas Corporation Berhad and Azlan & Associates Consulting.

Datuk Kamal Khalid, Media Prima’s Group Managing Director, said, “He is well-respected in this field and with years of experience with the company.

He and his team played a pivotal role in securing the advertising concession for the MRT and LRT lines extension and will now follow through with the rollout of key advertising assets which will be a major contributor for BTO’s revenue moving forward.”
