Prashun Dutt quits theSun

Prashun spearheaded theSun’s marketing and circulation
Chief Marketing Officer of The Sun Daily, Prashun Dutt, has parted ways with the publication.
Prashun is reported to have left ahead of his contract coming to an end.
Talking to MARKETING, he said, “I will continue until the end of this month to finish my remaining projects.”
Prashun did not reveal much about his next steps but mentioned he would be working on “big assignments” in April this year. He would also be taking time off to get involved in academic work.
At Berjaya Group, the owners of theSun, Prashun put in more than 5 years, leading the newspaper’s marketing, business and circulation strategy and ad-sales operations.
He also served on the Editorial Board and contributed to its editorial policy while writing opinion-leading articles, and community-driven features.
Before theSun, Prashun worked as the Director of Strategic Planning and Research at The Economist, based in Singapore and Hong Kong.
