Independent agency Muma Malaysia has been appointed by property development company ParkCity to work on a branding and fully integrated campaign after winning the project pitch last month.
This win is a feather in the cap for the agency after it secured four notable accounts at the end of 2023 which include Hong Leong Assurance, F&N’s RTD and Can Milk categories, and Resorts World Genting.
The latter appointed Muma who was the mentor agency for a team of students from The One Academy participating in the 2023 Kancils’ Schoolers Kancils Real Brief Challenge. Based on a real life brief by Resorts World Genting who immediately saw the potential of the submission and thus decided to work with Muma to further develop and execute the creative, which coincidently also cinched a Bronze award.
Muma Co-founder and Creative Partner, Choo Chee Wee said, “The biggest reward for any creative agency is to deliver an idea that works both for the client and the greater good. We strive to push boundaries and deliver unique, clutter-breaking creative works based on strong consumer and cultural insights for all our clients.”
His partner and Managing Director of Muma, Pang Li Li added, “It is an honour to be given the opportunity to work with such big names including heritage brands like F&N that we grew up with, and bringing our creative input. At Muma, we are invested in supporting companies through their growth and transformation journeys. Our clients have entrusted us with their brands and we fully intend to deliver impactful campaigns that will meet their needs and help their brand and business growth.”
Being unconventional is in the agency’s DNA as seen when it embarked on an innovation project with the prestigious Hong Leong Assurance.
Geoffrey Looi, Head of Insurtech at Hong Leong Assurance said, “Muma broke away from the usual category cliché and surprised us with their innovative and unique idea for our app and supporting ad campaign. Their out-of-the-box approach does not just cover creative ideas but also provides solutions for the client which is what makes them a much-valued strategic partner.”
Working with Looi’s team also provided Muma with its first experience of working directly with a financial services technical team.
“It has been a refreshing and eye-opening journey for the agency as we learn new things from one of Malaysia’s leading domestic life insurers. Our collaboration with Hong Leong Assurance sets the stage for a new era of financial services and we are excited to be a part of this journey with the client,” said Pang.
