Big Tree, one of Malaysia’s leading Out-of-Home (OOH) media specialists has produced the ‘Ilustrasi Haiwan Malaysia’, a series of vibrant images of animals unique to Malaysia, displayed around the vicinity of Malaysia’s most iconic landmark, the Petronas Twin Towers.
In the spirit to liven up the city and aimed to educate audiences about Malaysian animals, this display of colourful artistic mastery on the KLCC Snorkels OOH media forms an animal art gallery showcasing 12 different animals. These animals include the Malayan Tiger, Pygmy Elephant, Malayan Tapir, Lesser Mouse-Deer, Proboscis Monkey, Bornean Orangutan, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Malayan Pangolin, Leatherback Sea Turtle, Malayan Peacock-Pheasant, Malayan Flying Lemur, and the Malayan Gaur.
“The idea behind ‘Ilustrasi Haiwan Malaysia’ is to enlighten and educate audiences on the uniqueness of Malaysia’s animal kingdom in a creative and engaging way, whilst demonstrating the best use of OOH media through strong & colourful imagery,” said Chief Executive Officer, Shukor Ariffin. “The space allows for engagement too, where the public could scan the QR codes to learn more about the animals and in light of the current situation, we hope to brighten someone’s day as they drive or walk by our media.”
The inclusion of individual QR codes embedded into the visual of each animal provides Big Tree the opportunity to generate awareness amongst audiences on the population, conservation status, habitat as well as other descriptions on these animals. This initiative comes with the hope of having Malaysians be proud of animals that have its origins in Malaysia, also to potentially spur their interests in helping out with animal and habitat conservation.
