Bernama Chairman submits resignation four months after appointment

Broadcast personality and media strategist Suhaimi Sulaiman submitted his resignation as the chairman Bernama yesterday, four months after he was appointed in April.

In a report by Bernama, Suhaimi said he has submitted the resignation letter to the board and Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

According to Malay Mail, Suhaimi was quoted saying. “Yes, I have submitted the letter but it is up to the decision of the board and the minister.” 

On 16 May 2020, Bernama announced that it was ending the contract of its CEO, Nuraini Kasim. Editor-in-chief of Bernama, Datuk Mokhtar Hussain is currently the acting CEO.
