Ford gets tough with hitz

Flagged off from Astro Bukit Jalil by Astro Radio CEO Datuk Jake Abdullah(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – To showcase the durability of its Ford Ranger, the brand tied up with local radio station hitz fm to launch the “hitz Ford 24 Hour Challenge” on September 24th.

The “hitz Ford 24 Hour Challenge” kicked off at the Astro Bukit Jalil, where the Ranger, manned by a team of 6 hitz Ford cruisers, travelled for 24 hours to complete five challenges, stopping at locations in Ipoh, Penang, the Belum Rainforest in Perak, Kelantan, Kuantan, Pahang, and the Klang Valley.

The Ford Ranger’s strength and capacity were put to the test through various tasks during the 24-hour challenge from pulling on a brick wall in Ipoh to towing a 3,500kg jet plane. Each of these tests showcased the Ranger’s unique functions namely as its Trailer Sway Control.

Over 13 videos of the challenges were posted on hitz fm’s Facebook page and a representative from the company told MARKETING that the videos posted on Facebook received over 333,186 views.
