Powering up the Prima in Media Prima!

Media Prima Berhad has announced three key senior management appointments to the Group …

Joining from MyCreative Ventures is Johan Ishak who is the new CEO of Media Prima Television Networks (MPTN) responsible for the overall operations of MPTN and will focus to strengthen its core businesses while pursuing new business opportunities in line with Media Prima’s long-term growth strategies.

Johan will oversee Media Prima’s TV3, ntv7, 8TV, TV9, tonton and the home-shopping business CJ Wow Shop. He was previously CEO of MyCreative Ventures Sdn Bhd.

From Posterscope, Fan Chen Yip has been appointed as Head of Key Account Management and Media Sales Planning, Media Prima effective 16 October 2017. Before Media Prima, Fan was the CEO of Posterscope Malaysia, a subsidiary of Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN).

Alfian Talib as been appointed Chief Commercial Officer of The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad and will oversee the Marketing, Advertising Sales and Newspaper Sales & Distribution departments, ensuring growth in all three commercial sections of the company. Before NSTP, Alfian was CEO of TM Info-Media Sdn Bhd.

Datuk Kamal Khalid, Group Managing Director of Media Prima, said “Johan brings an incredible wealth of knowledge to lead MPTN. He combines business acumen, leadership skills and creative talent that will be critical to ensure commercial success of MPTN while continuing to provide the best content to our audience.

“He will continue MPTN’s digital transformation efforts in line with the Group’s vision to become the leading Digital-first content and Commerce Company.”

He added that both Fan and Alfian possess the right experience in key industries which will be invaluable in helping Media Prima in delivering media advertising solution to clients wishing to take advantage of the Group’s integrated media platforms.
