In the lead-up to Merdeka and Malaysia Day, Astro is rolling out one of its most ambitious and heartfelt campaigns to date — “Inilah KITA, sehati bersama” — a month-long celebration of unity, culture, and local creativity.
Running from 15 August to 16 September 2025, the campaign shines a spotlight on what makes Malaysians uniquely united in their diversity.
More Than Just a Campaign — It’s a Movement
At the core of Inilah KITA is Astro’s mission to go beyond entertainment and create moments of togetherness.
With a wide-ranging content slate and on-ground activations, this campaign isn’t confined to screens.
It spills onto the streets, into communities, and across digital platforms — reminding Malaysians that shared stories and collective pride can be powerful unifiers.
Tai Kam Leong, Astro’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, captures it best: “Through stories of togetherness — from sharing meals and communal spaces to creative collaborations — we present cherished moments that have brought Malaysians closer.”
KITA Channel: The Heartbeat of the Campaign
The newly launched KITA Channel (CH 100) is a dedicated destination for Malaysian-made stories.
Available from 15 August to 17 September, it will feature more than 50 curated titles spanning patriotic films, dramas, documentaries, reality shows, and concerts.
Fresh telemovies such as Kita Bukan Data, Mariam Meenachi, Rombengan, Wasiat Ayah, and Daddy Naik Sheikh offer original takes on themes of nationhood and personal identity.
Viewers can also look forward to music specials from iconic and emerging Malaysian acts including Slam X Exist and Hael Husaini.
Unity Lives in Real Stories
Beyond fiction, Astro brings unity to life through “Unity Stories of Inilah KITA,” a three-part documentary series that explores true Malaysian narratives of harmony and coexistence.
These shorts, now available on Astro Malaysia’s YouTube channel, feature stories like a century-old kopitiam that’s bridged racial lines for generations, and a Sarawak mosque and church that peacefully share a carpark.
From Putrajaya to Penang — A Nationwide Celebration
Astro is taking the celebration on tour. On 31 August, KITA FM will broadcast live from Putrajaya in partnership with Astro Audio and RTM.
That same energy will hit the road with a hop-on hop-off bus travelling across all 13 states, culminating in Penang on 16 September — with a Malaysia Book of Records entry in the works.
Astro’s two-day “Hello Inilah KITA” event on 23 and 24 August will further amplify the campaign, featuring celebrity appearances, cultural showcases, and musical performances. Expect big names like Mira Filzah, Ayda Jebat, Hun Haqeem, and Nicole Lai to take the stage.
And the celebration doesn’t stop in September — “KITA Run” returns on 25 October in Serenia City Central Park, Nilai, offering 5KM and 10KM races, carnival fun, and a massive concert to cap off the festivities.
A Campaign Rooted in Emotion and Shared Identity
Whether it’s through a nostalgic film, a documentary rooted in truth, or a community event filled with music and laughter, Astro’s Inilah KITA campaign encapsulates the collective heartbeat of Malaysia.
The campaign’s anthem, Bangkit Malaysia by Hael Husaini, will soon echo across streaming platforms, calling Malaysians to rise in unity — together, sehati bersama.
Available across Astro’s KITA Channel (CH 100), On Demand, sooka, and NJOI, this campaign proves that when stories are told from the heart, they don’t just entertain — they unite.
