22-year-old Ethan Wong went off the grid and roamed China for a month. Facing the unknown with just his imagination and almost empty pockets, Ethan’s avant-garde creativity continues to provoke.
A creative experimentalist and aspiring director, Ethan Wong joins us on The NexGen Show to share how he fell in love with the camera.
“It was during the peak of Covid-19 that I started to think that my major isn’t really working out,” he shares. “That’s when I decided to find a new job while I was studying, and that opened all the doors for me.”
In Episode 5, he brings us on a journey through his most prominent work from the start of his career, diving into the inspirations and stories behind each piece.
“I forced myself to get out and talk to strangers, and I wasn’t really putting pressure on myself to create something,” he explains in the episode. “But I ended up doing 5 or 6 shoots in the span of 35 days.”
