MSA launches Media Fest & Awards 2026, Sponsors And Entries Flying In

The Malaysia Media Specialists Association has announced the launch of the 2026 Festival and Awards. The theme for this year is MEDIAVOLUTION: next is now! This theme reflects the seismic changes affecting the industry, and the industry’s ability to evolve and ride through these changes effectively, delivering futuristic solutions to clients. 

With the finale Awards night slated for 14th August, entries are invited to over 18 Best Use of media categories as well as 2 Agency categories. Entries deadline is 6th May 2026.

This year, the Festival will be a half day affair, with exciting speakers anticipated, and is expected to be HRDC claimable. This represents a great opportunity for practitioners to learn from experts. 

As a part of reaching out to the wider community, the MSA this year will also be conducting a couple of other events, as a part of its activities. These include a Pickleball Day as well as a CSR Day. Sponsorship opportunities are available across all 4 events. 

Some brands like Nexxen, the advertising technology platform powered by unique data and media, Affinity (mCanvas), who delivers experiential mobile and CTV storytelling driven by immersive sensor technology, Media Prima, Malaysia’s largest integrated media behemoth, local listed outdoor company Seni Jaya and several others are already on board as sponsors. 

Sheila Shanmugam, who leads Client Leadership and Growth at WPP Media and serves as President of the MSA, said: “We look forward to an exciting MSA Festival & Awards 2026. New categories reflect a fast‑changing landscape, and a dedicated half‑day Festival will spotlight the media industry’s relevance in a tech‑led era. An exciting year and beyond for us all.”
