Nicole Tan has been appointed Meta’s new Country Director for Singapore.
She will officially assume her new role on June 2, 2025.
After nine years leading Meta in Malaysia, Nicole is looking forward to working with valued partners to support local businesses, creators and communities through the power of technology. She has played a pivotal role in advancing Meta’s presence and impact in the Malaysian digital economy.
Nicole has helped small and medium businesses (SMEs) go digital through platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. She has also supported many initiatives related to digital literacy, women empowerment and youth entrepreneurship.
“It’s been a privilege to be part of Meta’s journey in Malaysia, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together. I’m excited to carry those learnings forward into my time in Singapore as we continue to support the growth of Southeast Asia’s digital economy,“ she says.
With over 25 years of experience in advertising, communications and technology, and a remarkable track record as Meta’s Country Director for Malaysia over the past nine years, Nicole is well positioned to lead in Singapore.
She joined Meta (Facebook) in 2016 as its first employee in Malaysia.
Prior to joining Meta, Nicole was Managing Director of JWT Malaysia after having spent many years in China, playing a key role in brand communications and creative strategy at JWT Beijing which included managing the Nokia business for Greater China and leading multinational brand campaigns across Greater China, working with clients in FMCG, tech, automotive, and luxury sectors.
In 2014, Nicole was profiled under Campaign Asia Pacific’s List of 40 under 40.
