The Man Behind Ogilvy’s Meteoric Rise

Ogilvy is making bold and brilliant moves in Southeast Asia.

The agency has promoted Kunal Jeswani to the newly created role of CEO for ASEAN, reinforcing its commitment to scaling creative excellence across the region.

Jeswani is no stranger to big wins.

Having led Ogilvy India from 2015 to 2022, he played a phenomenal role in driving the agency’s creative dominance.

His leadership extended to Singapore and Malaysia, where Ogilvy Singapore clinched the #1 Creative Agency in Asia ranking in the Cannes Lions Creativity Report and was named Creative Agency of the Year at the 2025 Singapore Creative Circle Awards.

With over two decades of experience in advertising and brand strategy, Jeswani has worked with global giants like Unilever, Mondelez, Nestlé, Vodafone, BMW, and SingTel.

His portfolio also includes integrated election campaigns in India and Mauritius and overseeing communications for the Indian Premier League (IPL) for eight years.

A Game Plan for ASEAN Growth

As Ogilvy sharpens its focus on ASEAN, Jeswani’s mission is clear—unlock growth, integrate resources, and harness local market strengths for global impact.

The region is a hotbed of opportunity, and Ogilvy is banking on its ability to blend local expertise with the power of a regional network to deliver groundbreaking campaigns.

“Ogilvy’s network across Southeast Asia is incredibly strong. All of our talent, across the full width of our capabilities, is committed to creative work that drives impact and growth for our clients. I am excited to partner with our leaders across the region to do the best work of our lives, together,” articulates Jeswani.

Why This Promotion Matters

The decision to elevate Jeswani reflects Ogilvy APAC’s confidence in his leadership.

His deep understanding of consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and digital transformation positions him as the ideal leader to drive Ogilvy’s creative and strategic ambitions in ASEAN.

Kent Wertime and Chris Reitermann, Co-CEOs of Ogilvy APAC, reaffirmed their faith in Jeswani’s vision.

“Kunal’s track record of success in India, Singapore, and Malaysia, and his ability to nurture creative excellence, make him the ideal leader for ASEAN. This promotion is not only a recognition of his remarkable contributions but also a reflection of the confidence we have in his ability to shape the future of Ogilvy in this dynamic region,” affirms Kent Wertime, Co-CEO, Ogilvy APAC.

What’s Next for Ogilvy ASEAN?

Jeswani’s appointment signals a new era of bold storytelling, innovative strategies, and brand transformations across Southeast Asia.

As advertising evolves, Ogilvy is doubling down on creativity that drives business impact—and with Jeswani at the helm, the agency is set to raise the bar across ASEAN.
