GO Communications has been appointed by Irama Hotel – an up-and-coming independent hospitality landmark in Kuala Lumpur – to oversee aspects of PR and brand communications duties ahead of the hotel’s opening, slated for Q4 2025.
As part of this appointment, GO Communications will manage a full suite of services, including public relations, branding, creative communications, and social media management, in the lead-up to the hotel’s launch and beyond.
Besides building visibility, GO will work closely with the Irama team, led by General Manager and veteran hospitality doyen, Praba Ratha, to shape a distinct personality for the hotel that reflects its name and spirit.
“We’re happy to have GO Communications on board as we shape the identity of Irama Hotel during these crucial pre-opening months. They are seasoned storytellers who share our vision and understand the kind of warm and uniquely Malaysian brand we want to build,” said Ratha.
Strategically located in a prime urban enclave, Irama Hotel will stand as one of the tallest and most prominent addresses in Kuala Lumpur. With its elevated vantage point, guests will enjoy sweeping views of the capital’s skyline, while remaining just minutes from its cultural landmarks, shopping destinations, and business districts.
With 766 thoughtfully appointed rooms and suites, Irama Hotel is set to become one of the largest hospitality offerings in the city. But beyond its physical scale, what truly defines Irama is something less visible yet deeply felt – a pulse that resonates through every detail and every experience, true to the hotel’s name and tagline, “Feel the Rhythm.”
It is designed to be a place that connects people, moments, and memories through spaces that move effortlessly from one to the next.
As an independent hotel, Irama is not bound by convention. Instead, it will offer a multifaceted yet integrated experience, blending understated luxury with intuitive service. Guests can look forward to a variety of dining concepts, a full wellness spa, outdoor pools, a 24-hour gym, and family-friendly spaces—all curated with the same quiet attention to detail.
With a grand ballroom for up to 700 guests and 18 versatile meeting and function rooms, Irama Hotel will also be a destination for weddings, events, and MICE engagements. Each space is equipped with seamlessly integrated technology, including fibre optic connectivity in every room, ensuring guests and hosts experience both refined comfort and modern functionality at every turn.
“Irama will be one of the largest hotels in the city. But more importantly, it will be one with real character, crafted to offer both scale and soul. We want every guest that walks through our doors to feel a connection that is welcoming, thoughtful, and uniquely us,” explains Ratha.
GO Communications shares in that vision, recognising Irama as a brand with the potential to redefine independent hospitality in Malaysia and beyond. As a storytelling agency, GO sees its role in shaping a brand voice and presence that feels both personal and enduring, according to its CEO, Peter de Kretser.
“We are excited to collaborate to shape a unique brand and quite literally, a ‘landmark’ moment in the city’s hospitality landscape. It will being a bold, new voice to life in a way that resonates with guests from Malaysia and around the world. With Irama, we also have that rare and highly coveted opportunity to shape a brand from the ground up. And we look forward to telling that story in ways that are authentic, exciting, and true to its Malaysian roots,” de Kretser said.
As Irama Hotel prepares to open its doors, its ambitions stretch beyond Kuala Lumpur. With the foundation of a strong brand identity and guest philosophy, plans are already in motion to expand the Irama name to new destinations beyond Kuala Lumpur, with the same unique experience and sense of place in each new location.
