Maybank Islamic Reminds Malaysians to Share Their Blessings This Ramadan

by: Nathalie Tay

Maybank Islamic is proud to announce the launch of its latest Ramadan television commercial (TVC), “Berkat Terasa Apabila Kita Bersama,” featuring the beloved internet sensation, Mohd Haris Mikael.

Known for his endearing and mature mannerisms, Harris has captured the hearts of millions of Malaysians, and now leads the narrative of togetherness in our new campaign.

Haris, who has become a household name through his viral TikTok videos, brings his big-hearted charm to the TVC. His portrayal of Little Berkat is both genuine and relatable, reinforcing the campaign’s message that blessings are amplified when shared.

Uniting Communities Through Giving and Hope

Maybank Islamic’s Ramadan campaign brings all our efforts together under one shared spirit of giving. The TVC featuring Q sets the tone, showing how simple acts of kindness can grow into something meaningful.

This message carries through our Regional Ramadan Relief Programme, where we work with trusted partners to deliver food relief across Malaysia and beyond.

With a zakat fund of RM3.77 million for FY26, the programme continues to reach more than 14,000 families in need, from Malaysia to communities across ASEAN, the UAE, and Gaza.

Alongside this is the expanding Salam Festival. Since 2021, Maybank Islamic has organised iftar gatherings, Syawal open house events and supported Qurban initiatives across the country.

The festival creates a warm space for togetherness, offering meals and aid to orphans, Tahfiz students and mosque committee members during the holy month.

Previously centred in Malaysia across eight regions, the programme is now set to grow across Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines in 2026, building cross-border unity and deeper community involvement.

This expansion strengthens Maybank Islamic’s role as a regional force for shared values and meaningful connections.

Salam Festival is supported by Maybank Islamic’s Zakat contributions and the Islamic Charity Fund through the Maybank Islamic Ikhwan Credit Card, where for every spend, the Bank channels 0.1 % to charity.

It will reach 160 locations across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines during Ramadan, Syawal and Hari Raya Qurban, supporting more than 57,000 asnaf individuals.

Inspiring Spiritual and Social Connection This Ramadan

Apart from its community efforts, the bank is also collaborating with the local English radio station MIX FM to produce “Tazkirah MIX FM”—a radio segment dedicated to the fasting month, and the first of its kind on an English radio station.

This special segment will be broadcast throughout the entire month of Ramadan, offering listeners insightful content during this significant time.

On social media, their focus shifts from tactical campaigns to content designed to guide Muslims in fulfilling their spiritual and financial obligations before and during Ramadan to create a holistic and engaging Ramadan experience that connects spiritually and socially with the audience.

Last year, Maybank Islamic’s Ramadan campaign achieved substantial visibility, reaching 23 million people and generating 6.37 million views across YouTube, Meta, and TikTok.

Our Radio-Digital campaign also connected with 18,000 listeners both online and offline.

Maybank Islamic remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing a sense of community and togetherness during the blessed month of Ramadan.
